摘 要：

Recently, researchers proposed a new concept called RNA velocity, which is defined as the speed from the unspliced RNA (premature) to the spliced RNA (mature). In a later research, this concept has been extended from the definition based on the steady state assumption to that based on dynamic state assumption. This talk will first introduce the concept of RNA velocity and then we will discuss the methods for estimating the RNA velocity and its potential applications in single-cell data analysis.

 

简 介：

田天海，澳大利亚莫那什大学数学学院教授。2001年在澳大利亚昆士兰大学取得博士学位，博士毕业后曾在澳大利亚昆士兰大学，英国格拉斯哥大学等一流大学工作。在基因网络和细胞信号传导等生物系统的随机建模，随机动力系统的数值模拟，模型参数估计，和统计分析与计算等方向开展过很多有创新意义的工作，并取得了较多的研究成果。

周天寿，教授，博士生导师，中山大学百人计划入选者，数学研究所所长，广东省计算数学重点实验室副主任，中国工业与应用数学学会数学生命科学专业委员会副主任，中国运筹学会计算系统生物学专业委员会主任。研究方向：计算系统生物学。
